The Browns head to Baltimore to face off with the Ravens in a critical Sunday night matchup. Both teams have had some ups and downs and are in a direct battle for the AFC North crown. Each of them has shown some brilliant flashes of greatness and then moments of having no clue what they are doing out there.
For Cleveland, Baker Mayfield is likely to continue to play hurt, but he believes he can still make a difference out there. They have dealt with injuries and COVID at the running back position for a long time, but the most important thing is that Nick Chubb is going to be on the field for this, and they sure will need him. Their defense had better be ready to contain the run.
For the Ravens, Lamar Jackson is going to make his return to the lineup, and his favorite target, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, is expected to follow suit. Tyler Huntley led them to a key comeback win over Chicago last weekend to keep them alone in first place. The race will only get tighter, with five divisional games still to be played for these guys.
Cleveland vs Baltimore has proven to be a lot of fun over the past few years. Their last primetime game a season ago was simply, put, insane.
ODDS AND LINES:
Sunday night’s spread is set at BAL -3.5. The over/under is sitting at 47 points. The CLE moneyline is +157, while BAL is -183.
Browns Look for Seventh Win
It has not been a pretty year for Cleveland, but all things considered, this could be a lot worse. All four teams in the north will be able to play their way directly into first place at different times throughout the season. This is without question the biggest Browns game of the year, and that will be true of their next several.
They will need to give it to Chubb and just watch him work. He has exploded before, and that is just what they need. Jarvis Landry is coming off a big game, and they would be wise to continue to try and get him as many touches as they can.
They will also have to contain Lamar and hold him under 60 rushing yards.
Ravens Go for Eighth Victory
At 7-3, it has taken a lot to beat Baltimore this year. So often, they have found ways to win in improbable situations. They have three comebacks of 10+ pts and scored inside the final 2:00 against Chicago a week ago. Backup QB Tyler Huntley got them going early with a pair of strong drives and did it again in the end.
They will remain a bit short-handed at RB, but this has not affected them this year. Next man up has been the mantra and will continue to be. They need to win the battle on the ground and keep Lamar upright, as the sack totals have been a bit high of late.
RAVENS WIN
In what promises to be a great showdown, Baltimore will emerge victoriously.
