One of the most exciting college basketball games of the week will take place on Thursday night as the Arizona Wildcats will travel to Washington and take on the Washington State Cougars. Arizona is undoubtedly one of the top 10 teams in America, and that’s evident with what they’ve been able to do this season. The Wildcats are currently a top-six-ranked team and are 17-3 this season. Whenever they have a Pac-12 game, it’s always regarded as one of the best games of the week because anything can happen in that conference. We’ve seen upsets happen day in and day out, and perhaps Washington State could be the team that jumps on that ship.

Arizona Looking for Revenge
Arizona has some of the top college basketball players in America, and that’s why this team is currently in the position that they’re in. ?žuolas Tubelis is definitely the guy that I’m going to be looking out for in this game as he’s averaging 19.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, and shooting an insanely efficient 55.8% from the field. In his one game against Washington State this season, he scored 29 points against them in just 32 minutes. He’s scored at least 14 points in each of his last five games and has 25 and that 29-point performance in that as well.
He’s the reason why Arizona is as good as they are, and if they can continue running their offense through him, this team is going to find themselves in a great spot. There’s a reason why they are a top-10 team in America and he’s certainly a major factor in that.
Can Washington State Upset Wildcats Again?
Washington State hasn’t necessarily been that bad this season. While their record does indicate 9-12, they do have some impressive wins throughout the year and that’s what we have to give them credit for. They’re currently 4-6 in the Pac-12 but have wins over Arizona, USC, Stanford, and other high-level teams. Because of that, we truly never know who’s going to be the next team upsetting who, and there’s even a chance that Arizona could lose once again to them.
Mouhamed Gueye is somebody to watch out for in this game, as he had an incredible performance against Arizona in his first game. He finished with 24 points against them in their first contest and is averaging 13.3 points and 7.9 rebounds. Arizona is surely going to be locking in on him this time around, as they want to make sure that there’s no chance that they end up losing this game once again.
Arizona Wildcats vs. Washington State Cougars Prediction
Because Arizona lost to them the last time around, it might not be a bad idea to take them at -5. They’ve clearly been the better team this season, and although Washington State does have some impressive wins, it would be tough to imagine that they end up beating Arizona twice in the same season. Beating Arizona once during a year is hard enough, and although it certainly is possible because they’ve already done it, it doesn’t seem too likely at the moment.
