On Tuesday night, the Boston Celtics will travel to Oakland to take on the Golden State Warriors in what many thought could be a Finals preview before the season started. Boston is 38-26 and is in 5th place in the Eastern Conference. The Warriors are 44-19 and are in 1st place in the Western Conference

Celtics Need to Recover From Loss
The Celtics are coming off a 115-104 loss to the Rockets on Sunday. The Celtics trailed by 22 after 3 quarters but were able to make it look a little more respectable in the final frame. Kyrie Irving led the way for Boston with 24 points on 7 of 11 shooting to go along with 9 rebounds to lead the team and 6 assists which tied for the team lead. Al Horford chipped in 19 points on 7 of 8 shooting and grabbed 6 rebounds. Marcus Smart added 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jaylen Brown scored 15 points, and Jayson Tatum added 12 points to round out the double-digit scorers.
The Warriors are coming off a 120-117 win at Philadelphia on Saturday. Golden State trailed by 12 at the half but used a huge 3rd quarter to take the lead. Kevin Durant led the way for the Warriors with 34 points on 11 of 24 shooting to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Stephen Curry tallied 28 points on 10 of 23 shooting, and Demarcus Cousins scored 25 points on 9 of 15 shooting to go along with 8 rebounds. Damion Lee added 12 points off the bench. Draymond Green had a team-high 9 rebounds and team-high 10 assists to go along with 6 points.
Good Scoring on Both Teams
Kyrie Irving leads the Celtics in scoring with 23.4 points a game and is also the leading assister with 6.9 a game. He is followed by Jayson Tatum, who scores 16.1 a game, and Marcus Morris, who adds 14.2. Al Horford leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 a game and adds 13.1 points. Boston scores 112 points a game on 46.3% shooting and allows opponents to score 106.8 a game. The Celtics are just 14-16 on the road this season and are 1-5 since the All-Star break.
The Warriors are led by Steph Curry, who averages 28.4 points per game. Durant scores 27.6 a game and Thompson adds 22 a game. Demarcus Cousins averages 15.8 points and a team-high 8.1 rebounds a game. Draymond Green leads the Warriors in assists with 7.1 a game. Golden State is once again one of the best offensive teams in the league. They are averaging 118.6 points per game on 48.9% shooting. The defense has been lackluster, as the Warriors are allowing their opponents to put up 112.1 points a game. Golden State has gone just 3-3 since the All-Star break and is 23-8 at home this season.
Warriors Will Get the Win
The Warriors come in at -9. Boston has had a solid year, but it has not been pretty of late. They are struggling mightily right now, and a trip to Oracle Arena is not going to help them out. The Celtics have not been great on the road this season and are now playing the best team in the NBA. The Warriors have not been their normal selves since the break but are still the best team in the NBA and are incredibly tough to beat at home. I think the Warriors get back on track at home and feast on the struggling Celtics en route to a double-digit victory. Take the Warriors -9.
