The momentum is shifting, and the pressure is building for the Miami Heat in their series against the Boston Celtics. Time and time again, the Celtics have shown that they are not going to quit in a series.
The action shifts to Miami in a high-intensity game six where all the pressure is on a depleted Miami roster to end this series once and for all.
If the Heat want any chance in Saturday night’s matchup, Jimmy Butler is going to have to elevate his level of play beyond anything we have seen so far in the last two rounds.
Without Gabe Vincent in game five, the Heat are running out of options to compete the whole game, and Boston is just rotating in fresh legs every time they need it.
The stakes are as high as they have ever been, with the Celtics trying to make history to be the first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit.
Ahead of Saturday night, the Celtics are listed as the opening favorite over the Heat at -3.
Defense and three points leads to Mazzulla Ball
Rightfully so, after losing the first three games, Joe Mazzulla took a majority of the blame for not having his team prepared and making some questionable schemes against the Heat zone defense.
The intensity has been turned up a notch, and now Mazzulla has got the Celtics playing harder than ever on defense which is leading to easy scoring opportunities that they didn’t see at the beginning of the series.
It always helps when the three-pointers go in, but that’s just how much the series has shifted, as Miami was the team having everything go in for them even when contested.
Time for another historic Jimmy Butler performance?
Against the New York Knicks, Jimmy Butler wasn’t needed in the same way he was needed against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Two games in a row in the first round, Butler was transcendent against his opponent, and there was no stopping him. That is the Butler that Miami needs to close this series out.
The Heat respect their opponent and have traded blows with Boston over the past few years. With such a depleted lineup, alpha status is going to have to be achieved by Butler, or else the Heat are going to head back to Boston.
Celtics at Heat Betting Prediction
It seems entirely improbable that the Celtics would be able to climb all the way back from a 3-0 deficit in playoffs where Butler has been one of the best players we have seen.
Boston understands each game is a new battle, and taking it all one step at a time is the right call. Adjustments will continue to be made by both teams heading into Saturday night.
There just isn’t any way Miami loses this game, and now they are back as underdogs on their home court, and that is right where they have wanted to be all season long. Take the Heat at +3 to win on their home floor.
