Buffalo and Kansas City will do battle in primetime on Sunday. The game will be called by the legendary Al Michaels, along with Cris Collinsworth, which means something great is in store. Most SNF games seem to bring greatness and end up proving the schedule makers as geniuses. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes both see this early-season matchup as a must-win for their clubs.
For Buffalo, starting 3-1 is perfect after dropping their opener against the Steelers. They have found ways to spread the ball around, with Allen continuing to perform at a high level. He was the league Preseason MVP pick in the eyes of many, so his strong start is only validating the hype he had. They still lack a dynamic run game, but the Devin Singletary/Zack Moss backfield is doing enough to help them win.
KC has lost twice already in their first four games. They lost a stunner against the Ravens in Week 2 and then another to the Chargers in week 3. They got back on track a week ago and will look to move back over .500 for the first time since beating the Browns in week 1. They know they have to be better, so look for them to play with more discipline.
Betting Odds & Lines
The spread for Sunday night is currently set at KC -3. The over/under is sitting at 56.5 points. The KC moneyline is -146, while the BUF line is +125.
Bills Seeking Key Road Win
At 3-1 and in a division where everyone else is a clear step below, the Bills have a little leeway as to which games they can win and lose. Should they fall short, it would not impact their spot within their division. But it would sure feel great to get revenge on the team who beat them in the AFC Championship a week ago.
They have Josh Allen leading a very talented bunch and Sean McDermott continuing to coach well. Stefon Diggs is still as good as ever, but they have plenty of other options. Dawson Knox has been a tremendous red zone target again, while Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley make their big grabs. Plus, the speedy Emmanuel Sanders looks good here.
If their D plays well, this is an easy win.
KC Seeks Move Back Over .500
The Chiefs offense is as dynamic as any in the NFL. It is their defense that is losing them games. They are unable to slow down the opponents, and they have been missing in action, pretty much. The pass rush has been weak, and the secondary has also very much underwhelmed.
On the other side of the ball, though, they have a new receiver coming in. Josh Gordon is joining the team and could suit up. As if having Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce wasn’t bad enough for the other teams. He can be another big-play threat if he can stay on the field.
Buffalo Wins the Duel
The Bills are a much more complete team, and so they will take the win against the Chiefs. Plain and simple.
