To say it was a bleak outlook for the Bears on Monday Night Football would be an understatement, but they fought back and secured a victory over the Patriots.
Now, the Bears of Chicago will look to continue this momentum into Week 8 when they go on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas has been one of the most surprising and impressive teams all season, and the development of their defense has made them rise back to the ranks of being a household name.
Justin Fields will have his hands full at quarterback and try to avoid the nasty pass rush that the Cowboys have coming after him.
This will certainly be a test for that Bears offense, and if they find a way to put up some points against the Cowboys, their record may be more legit than we originally thought.
Dallas still draws a heavy favorite at home over Chicago at -8.5.
Rushing is the name of the game in Chicago
When looking at the Bears’ roster, it is clear that their pass catchers have not lived up to the hype and really have been unable to form any kind of true synergy with Justin Fields.
That is exactly why the coaching staff decided to hit the ground game and hit it hard, and it proved true in their matchup with New England after they rushed for over 200 yards.
As long as Justin Fields continues to manage games well and avoid any costly turnovers, the Bears have a puncher’s chance in just about every matchup on their schedule.
Building on this momentum will be a focal point for the rest of the season, and it starts here in Week 8 against Dallas.
Welcome back Dak: time for the offense to step up
For the Cowboys this season, their main draw has been their defense and the continued rise of Micah Parsons being one of the best franchise cornerstones in the league.
With Dak Prescott back in at quarterback, it is time for the offense to put the pieces together and help this defense out a bit.
They have been able to carry their team to multiple victories with Cooper Rush as the backup, but Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup need to look now to make an impact at receiver.
Hosting this game will give a chance for Dak to get his feet back under him.
Bears @ Cowboys Betting Prediction
With such a large spread in any game, the Cowboys have all the pressure of this matchup in needing to perform well.
If their offense can’t put up a good amount of points, questions will arise about their status as true contenders.
Chicago has put together a few surprising come-from-behind victories this season, so don’t be surprised if they find a way to make some noise.
With all of that said, take the Bears as the underdog in this matchup because the points are too nice as a cushion.
