After another exhilarating weekend in the NBA season, we are down to the last ten or so games left for every team.
Two teams involved in some action-packed games will be going head-to-head when the Philadelphia 76ers are ready to host the Chicago Bulls.
What is funny about this Monday night matchup is that the two teams will play each other for a second time two days later on Wednesday.
It will give both of these Eastern Conference rivals plenty of time to get acquainted with each other as they could potentially line up against each other in the postseason.
What has to be clear in this game is the way that Joel Embiid is gunning for the MVP this season. With so many players resting constantly, Embiid played in a back-to-back set against the Pacers and Hornets, who are two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference.
The 76ers are playing so well and they end up drawing the favorite on their home court over the Bulls at -7.5.
A heroic weekend from one DeMar DeRozan
The award for most exciting game of the weekend had to go to the Chicago Bulls, who went into double overtime against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
DeRozan was electric in this matchup and was able to put up nearly 50 points in the contest, securing the victory over the Timberwolves and outlasting them.
Going against the 76ers will be an entirely different beast, and the Bulls will need to step up their defense if they want to stand a chance.
With all of the firepower coming from Philly, the Bulls will be unlikely to outscore them, but could catch them on an off night with good defense.
Peaking at the right time of the season
Early this year, the 76ers had a lot of kinks to iron out in their offense as they continued to trade looks between some of their leading scorers.
For the last two months, the 76ers have been lights out, and their team is gelling better than anyone could have imagined.
James Harden has vaulted himself back into the All-NBA discussion, and his pairing with Embiid is downright unfair on most nights for defenses to stop.
All the regular season talk is great, but the 76ers need to find a way to finally get something done in the postseason. Embiid should be able to feast on the weak frontcourt in Chicago.
76ers @ Bulls Betting Prediction
Despite the Bulls needing to keep their defense up in this game, this looks to be a matchup with a lot of points ready to be scored.
Both the 76ers and the Bulls love offense, and have been putting up massive amounts of points in their most recent games.
Going into Philadelphia for the Bulls is no easy feat, and they are going to have to try everything they can to give themselves a chance.
Roll with the 76ers and Joel Embiid to win on their home court at -7.5 and look forward to the rematch on Wednesday evening.
