Cleveland takes a road trip to Jerry-land to take on the struggling Cowboys on Sunday. Cleveland has begun their year with two wins in their first three games, looking a lot more formidable than they did a season ago.
They got destroyed by the Ravens in their opener, but have responded about as well as you possibly could. Kevin Stefanski is already proving to be far superior to Freddy Kitchens, who didn’t seem to know much of what he was trying to do in 2019. This team has several weapons on both offense and defense, making them dangerous.
Dallas, on the other hand, is off to another disappointing start. They should probably be 0-3, but Atlanta choked away a wild game in week 2. But because of that, the Cowboys can still break even with a win today. The crazy thing is, their 1-2 record ties them for first place in a horrible NFC East.
Cleveland needs this one more to keep pace with the 2-1 Ravens and currently 3-0 Steelers.
ODDS:
The spread for the contest favors the Cowboys by 4.5 points. The over/under is set at 56.
Cleveland Seeks Third Win in a Row
We haven’t seen a Browns team with a winning record after three weeks in quite a long time. It’s good to see that they are slowly starting to figure things out. Baker Mayfield is in his third year as a starter, while Nick Chubb continues to come into his own as an elite rusher.
It also helps that Myles Garrett is on the field and not suspended, playing like one of the best pass-rushers in the league. That was why they took him #1 overall in 2017, after all. OBJ is starting to come on too, and they are pretty well-disciplined and lacking in the penalty department.
If they want to win this one, they’ll need to get past an all-time great offensive line. If that is the case and they can make Dak uncomfortable, the 3-1 record is all but theirs.
Dallas Seeking Win
Coming off a primetime loss to the Packers, they’re hoping for a quick bounce back. Their division has been the worst in the NFL so far, with two winless teams and a Washington team that has no clear direction. So, it is still theirs to lose, but they can’t just keep losing games.
There has to be at least a little pressure on Mike McCarthy to win some games in his first year. They have so many talented guys on this team that all of the losing years make almost no sense. That’s why they finally sensed they needed to make changes at the head coaching position.
You’ve got a top running back in Ezekiel Elliott, loaded up on good receivers, and you have an offensive line that could keep a sculpture from being taken down. Capitalize on what you have.
Cleveland Pulls it Off
3-1 is Cleveland’s new record. A good win for them as they move on.
