Game 3 of this series will shift from Denver, Colorado to Edmonton, Alberta with the series. There has been nothing but excitement for the first two games of this series. Puck drop for Game 3 will be at the Rogers Centre on Saturday, June 4, with puck drop set for 8:00 p.m. ET.

Nathan MacKinnon has recorded at least one point in the last four out of six games for the Avalanche. He scored a goal back in Game 2 and has been a better player at home than he has been on the road.
Cale Makar has recorded at least one point in nine of the 12 postseason games for the Colorado Avalanche.
Pavel Francouz is projected to be the starting goalie in Game 3 after posting a shutout in Game 2 in place of Darcy Kuemper due to injury.
Edmonton Oilers Must Win Game 3
Evander Kane has been one of the best goal scorers in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has accounted for 13 goals this postseason and has scored at least one goal in the last three out of six games. Kane is always a good bet to score a goal, especially since he did not find the score sheet in Game 2.
Connor McDavid has continued to toy with his opponents by scoring at least one goal in his last two of three games played. He is the best player on the ice in the postseason. McDavid makes everyone around him better. His point streak was snapped in Game 2.
Zach Hyman has recorded at least one point in his last five of six postseason games for the Oilers. He has been an underrated bet this postseason for player props.
Mike Smith is expected to be the starting goalie in Game 3 for Edmonton for now, but head coach Raymond Woodcroft can switch to Mikko Koskinen.
Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers Pick and Prediction
The Edmonton Oilers are returning home for Game 3 and they are in a must-win situation. Maybe switching venues will help this hockey team because it has happened a lot this postseason.
Colorado’s record against the spread on the road during the regular season was 18-23.
Edmonton’s record against the spread at home during the regular season was 20-21.
The Edmonton Oilers this postseason have won their last three home games and the Colorado Avalanche have won their last three postseason games, so something has to give in Game 3. The goal total for Game 3 is seven goals. Expect more than four goals to be scored in Game 3 and it would be safe to bet the over.
This could potentially be another wild hockey game because the Oilers play well behind their home crowd and the Avalanche also loves to play on the road and make noise as well.
