The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders are set to square off Sunday in the National Football League. Dallas is 11-5 on the season, and leads the NFC East. With a win over Washington, the Cowboys will win the NFC East, and be the 2nd seed in the postseason. A loss could mean dropping to the fifth seed.
For Washington, they have been miserable, with a 4-12 record. The Commanders have dropped seven straight games, and have one of the worst records in all of the league. Washington got smacked around in the first meeting; as the Cowboys won 45-10.
The Cowboys are -13.5 in this game on the road.
Cowboys on the Road
The Dallas Cowboys will look to shake their road woes in this one. The Cowboys have dropped their last two road games at the Bills and Dolphins. Before that, they won at Carolina. Dallas is the third highest scoring team in the NFL with more than 29 points per game.
Dak Prescott is leading the passing game as the fourth best in the league. Prescott has more than 4,235 yards passing and 32 touchdowns. He and CeeDee Lamb have been terrific, with 122 receptions, 1,651 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season.
Dallas turned to Tony Pollard as their top running back, and he is seeking 65 more yards to reach 1,000 on the season. Pollard has five touchdowns on the ground this season. For Dallas, their defense is what will keep them competitive in the postseason. Dallas is allowing just 19.1 points per game.
Quarterback Struggles for Washington
The Washington Commanders have struggled all season, but definitely in home games. The Commanders are 1-6 at home. The lone win for Washington at home came in their season opener when they beat Arizona. In fact, Washington won their first two games of the season; as they won in Denver Week 2.
Quarterback has been a major issue for Washington. The combination of Sam Howell and Jacoby Brissett have thrown 23 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Howell was sacked 61 times in 16 games this season. Terry McLaurin has been the best receiver for Washington. He needs 54 yards to reach 1,000.
Brian Robinson Jr is the top running back option for Washington. He has rushed 169 times for 708 yards and five touchdowns. Howell also has five rushing touchdowns, while Chris Rodriguez has two for Washington.
Cowboys Smoke Commanders
The Washington Commanders are done for. The Commanders have not been competitive for quite some time. The sad news here is this is likely to be the final game as a head coach for Ron Rivera with the Commanders. They are going to move in a different direction.
This game will not help his cause. Dallas gets it going, despite being on the road. Take the Cowboys -13.5, as they win by three touchdowns over Washington. Enjoy this game, and all the Week 18 games. Best of luck with all your NFL Betting!
