The entire NFL Divisional round is set besides one game left. The winner of this game will be on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
A rematch of the season opener, the Dallas Cowboys will be on the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, that has major implications on the legacy of the top players in the game.
In the opener, the Buccaneers were able to shut down Dallas entirely, and Dak Prescott injured his throwing hand on a helmet which kept him out of a third of the season.
Times have changed, and the Cowboys now boast a complete team in every sense of the word. Prescott has soured fans in the past couple of weeks with his careless turnovers, but this is not the same team from Week 1.
The morning before this pivotal playoff matchup, the Cowboys get the nod as the favorite on the road over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at -2.5.
Can the Cowboys finally get over the hump?
To say Dallas has been a tortured fan base in the postseason would be underselling it, as they continue to struggle each year making it to the postseason.
Getting out of the Wildcard Round would at least give them a little bit of hope and something positive to build off of into the next season.
The Buccaneers seem to be a hot team and are coming together at a good point of the season. No one would be surprised if the Cowboys blew this one yet again.
Prescott has got to step up and deliver for this franchise. He is paid like the quarterback who wins, so it is time for him to finally start winning.
Plugging all of the holes with Tom Brady
It is arguable that this Buccaneers team does not belong in this spot in the postseason. Save for some miracle comebacks, their team struggled mightily all season to put together good performances.
Brady spent this season throwing the ball, a lot. In fact, it was the highest pass attempts by a quarterback ever, and it felt like it all season.
If the Buccaneers manage to grab anything from their run game, the Cowboys might actually be in a rough situation.
Without a proper rushing attack, the Bucs will be playing from behind, and that can make for another rocky finish down the final stretch of this game.
Cowboys @ Buccaneers Betting Prediction
One last game to set the stage for the next round, and both of these teams will be hungry. Without a high level of confidence and a slight taste of desperation, be prepared for any result in this game.
Maybe the Buccaneers will have to engineer one of their signature comebacks once again, or maybe the Cowboys will find a way to put a massive scoring total on the road.
Either way, it is always smart to take a home underdog in the postseason with the crowd behind them. Roll with Brady and the Buccaneers at +2.5.
