An AFC West showdown is heading in our direction for another prime-time game when the Denver Broncos go on the road to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
These two teams have had their helpings of disappointing games, and the Broncos can’t seem to put together any kind of offense that takes them over the edge.
It is unclear whether or not either will be in the mix by the time the playoffs roll around, which is why this divisional matchup looks to be a must-win for both sides.
Watching Justin Herbert and Russell Wilson go head-to-head against each other seemed like a lot more fun at the beginning of the year, but the answers don’t seem to be so straightforward now.
Maybe this will be the game for Wilson to bounce back, but they find themselves as an underdog for this game with the Chargers favored at -4.5.
No chances at offense for Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos
This team has been one of the most disappointing surprises that we have seen to open the first part of the regular season.
Without Russell Wilson leading the way, the Broncos really don’t have much that they can generate in any of these games.
This team has certainly shouldered their fair share of criticism, but at the very least, their defense is stout and can put together some stops.
The Chargers are no laughing matter, and their offense has looked explosive the past two weeks and has been able to put together a couple of huge point totals.
Where do we end up ranking this Chargers’ team by the end of the year?
Speaking of disappointments, the Chargers have been unable to be consistent for any real stretch of time in the first couple weeks to open the season.
Justin Herbert has all of the talent and most of his weapons, sans Keenan Allen, but can’t really seem to move the ball downfield too much.
Austin Ekeler has found a way to give the offense some life, but sometimes it is not enough to get them where they need to go.
With all of the talent that is on both sides of the ball for them, their record should really be stronger than it is, but this would be a big game to take at home.
Broncos @ Chargers Betting Prediction
With all of the controversy surrounding the Broncos, it is hard to believe in them in any matchup that they take the field for.
The coaching by both of these teams have showcased the worst play-calling in the league, and it will likely be a factor when it comes down to the end of the game.
Ekeler appears to be the x-factor as we head into Monday night, and the Chargers will look to get him going early.
Take the Chargers on their home turf over the Broncos.
