Another guy not playing is Devontez Walker. Walker caught 41 passes for 699 yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. He also is going into the NFL Draft. J.J. Jones should be the top threat for the Tar Heels in this game. He caught 42 passes for 658 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
The run game will feature Omarion Hampton. Hampton ran the football 234 times on the season, for 1,442 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season. The Tar Heels offense was terrific this season with more than 36 points per game. Both the passing offense and rushing offense ranked in the Top 20.
Mountaineers Looking to Wrap up with Win
West Virginia will also be without a few offensive players. Running back CJ Donaldson is out for the bowl game after a season where he rushed for 798 yards and 11 touchdowns. Garrett Greene is the signal caller for the Mountaineers. In a late season win at Baylor, Greene tossed for 269 yards and two touchdowns
Greene finished the season with 15 touchdown passes on the season. His top threat was Devin Carter. Carter finished with 501 yards and two touchdowns. One of his touchdowns was late in the season in a blowout loss to the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Mountaineers started the season with a loss at Penn State. After winning four straight, the Mountaineers lost back to back games to Houston and Oklahoma State. Their fourth and final loss was at Oklahoma. In all four losses, West Virginia allowed 38+ points in each.
