Game two of the Western Conference in the National Hockey League will take place on Saturday. Edmonton leads the Dallas Stars in the series 1-0 after the double overtime win on Thursday. When these two teams played on April 1st, near the end of the regular season, the Stars won 5-0.
Dallas is the top seed in the Western Conference after winning the Central Division. Edmonton finished second in the Pacific, but eliminated the divisional winner last round; in Vancouver.
The winner of this series will move to the Stanley Cup Finals. The winner will await the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers series winner out of the East.

Edmonton’s Offensive Machine
The party got started for Edmonton in the first minute of the second period as Leon Draisaitl scored his 9th goal of the postseason. Zach Hyman added to the fun to make it 2-0 early on in the second period. It was the 12th of the postseason for Hyman. The Oilers led 2-1 after two periods. Edmonton was not able to get another goal in regulation. Just 0:32 into the second overtime, Connor McDavid scored his third of the postseason to win the game.
During the regular season, McDavid recorded 132 points. 100 of those were assists. Draisaitl went for 106 points on the season, Evan Bouchard and Hyman both were solid, as their core four players missed just a combined 12 games. Edmonton scored 3.56 goals per game, which ranks fourth in the league. The Oilers got over 33 shots per game off.
Stuart Skinner will be between the pipes for the Oilers. The 25 year old played in 59 games during the regular season, and finished with a 36-16-5 record. He allowed just 2.62 goals per game. Skinner did not play in Games 4 and 5 against Vancouver after being pulled in the Game 3 loss. He finished game 1 with 31 saves.
Dallas Looking to Find One at Home
Tyler Seguin was the lone scorer of the Western Conference Finals for Dallas. Seguin then tied the game late in the third, with his fifth of the postseason. The game went to overtime and the Stars, despite 33 shot attempts in the game, could not muster another goal.
Dallas was third best in scoring during the regular season with 3.59 per game. The Stars are sixth in power play, converting on nearly 25% of their chances. The Stars scored 40 goals through the first 13 games of the postseason. Dallas allowed opponents in Vegas and Colorado to score 31.
Jake Oettinger will get the start as the goaltender. Oettinger has played in every postseason game for Dallas so far. Oetteinger also played in 54 regular season games, coming up with a 35-14-4 record, and allowing 2.72 goals per game. In the Game 1
