Pacers Will Struggle to Keep Up with Warriors
The Warriors are led by Steph Curry, who averages 29.3 points per game. Durant scores 27.9 a game and Thompson adds 21.8 a game. Cousins has averaged 13.5 in the 4 games since returning. Draymond Green leads the Warriors in both rebounding and assisting with 8 boards and 7.3 assists a game. Golden State is once again one of the best offensive teams in the league. They are averaging 118.8 points per game on 49% shooting. The defense has been lackluster, as the Warriors are allowing their opponents to put up 112 points a game. Golden State has won 10 straight games and are 17-8 on the road this season.
The Pacers have a massive hole in their offense after they lost superstar Victor Oladipo to injury last week. Oladipo lead the team in points per game with 18.8. Bojan Bogdanovic is the now the team leader with 16.1 a game. He is supported by Sabonis who scores 14.8, Turner adds 12.8, and Young chips in 12.7 a game. Sabonis is also the team leader on the glass and averages 9.5 RPG. Collison is the leader in assists with 5.8 a game and adds 10 points per contest. The Pacers have had success on offense this season, averaging 108.9 a game, but will struggle to keep up those numbers with Oladipo out. They are allowing 103.2 a game and the defense will be tested against the loaded Warriors. The Pacers are 6-4 in their last 10 and are 18-6 at home this season.
Warriors vs. Pacers Prediction
The Warriors come in at -8.5. The Pacers simply will not be able to keep up in this one. Without Oladipo, Indiana just does not have enough offensive threat to put up the amount of points Golden State does. The defense hasn’t been bad for the Pacers, but this Warriors team will light up the nets like they do every night. The Warriors take this one by double digits. Take Golden State -8.5.
