We have ourselves a primetime matchup in Buffalo as Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers visit the Buffalo Bills. The Packers are still working to find their stride this season, while the Bills are a top-three offense in all of the NFL.
This will be a major test for both of these teams, as Buffalo cannot overlook Green Bay, and the Packers must rally to get their season back on track. Coverage for this primetime contest will begin at 8:20 PM ET on NBC at Highmark Stadium.
Buffalo is the Moneyline favorite at -500 and is -10.5 with -110 in the point spread.
The Packers must find a way to develop consistency
Coming into the 2022 NFL season, it was obvious that the Green Bay Packers would go through some growing pains with their young wide receivers.
Unfortunately for Aaron Rodgers and company, those pains seem to be continuing. Currently, the packers are 23rd in the NFL in points per game, with an average of 18.3. If Green Bay wants to right the ship fast, they must develop consistency within this offense.
All eyes will be on the future Hall of Famer, Aaron Rodgers. While he isn’t having an MVP-type season, he is staying consistent. He currently has 1,597 yards passing with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Everyone knows Rodgers has more to produce, but until the chemistry is built with his receivers, that production won’t reach MVP level.
A true test of Buffalo’s ability to prepare
When looking at this matchup, it may seem as if the Bills are way ahead of the Packers. This season that is the case.
However, if the Bills overlook the Packers and think too far ahead, Green Bay may be able to sneak away with a win. This is a good test for this team’s ability to prepare and take it one week at a time.
Thankfully for Buffalo, they have Josh Allen. He is playing like the best quarterback in the game right now.
Allen has totaled 1,980 yards passing with 17 touchdowns and four interceptions. What makes Allen so dangerous is his ability to run the football.
He has run for 257 yards and two touchdowns, and he leads the team in rushing so far this season. The Bills are dangerous on offense this season and make any defensive coordinator’s job very hard. As long as they prepare right, they will handle business on Sunday night.
Pick and Prediction
Fans of the NFL will surely tune into this game due to the star matchup at Quarterback. While Aaron Rodgers is pushing his team forward, they are running into Josh Allen. The Bills have a top-ten offense and defense this season which makes it tough for any team to beat them this season.
At home this season, the Bills are 2-0, and against the spread, they are 4-1-1. This team has the ability to pull away from their opponents late in games. Expect the same at home on Sunday as the Bills cover the 10.5-point spread on their way to winning this star-studded matchup.
