We are now in the final week of the preseason, which means the 2022 NFL season will soon be here. The Thursday night game between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs is one that is sure to draw some fans’ attention based only on name value.
The Packers were able to bounce back last week with a 20-10 victory over the New Orleans Saints after dropping their first preseason game. The Chiefs will attempt to bounce back after losing 19-14 to the Bears on the road.
The Packers are now listed as -1.5 point (-110) favorites, while the Chiefs are listed as +1.5 point (-110) home underdogs at sportsbooks. The Packers are -125 moneyline favorites over the Chiefs, who are +105 underdogs, and the total has been set at 35.5 points.
Packers Look For First Preseason Road Win
The Green Bay Packers bounced back from a 28-21 road setback to the 49ers by defeating the Saints last week with a commanding 20-10 victory.

The Packers’ victory last week was not only much-needed but also unusual. After all, they had previously dropped eight of their previous ten exhibition games, primarily as a result of Green Bay not giving its best effort.
Chiefs Look to Secure Home Field
Although Kansas City lost to the Bears, the Chiefs won at home the previous week by a score of 24-14. Last week, Patrick Mahomes played quite a bit, but he won’t participate at all this week. While Shane Buechele and Dustin Crum compete for the third quarterback position, veteran Chad Henne serves as the backup.
Throughout the two preseason games, the Chiefs’ defense has been outstanding. They had little trouble stopping the Bears and only gave up 317 total yards against the Commanders the previous week. The defense was improved by management with early draft picks, and it should be strong this year.
Last season, the Chiefs ranked fourth in the league with an outstanding 28.2 points per game average. The defense finished sixth in the NFL with a 21.4 point per game average. No matter who is in for Andy Reid, there will be high expectations on the field.
