The Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks will get together on Tuesday for Game 5 of the best of 7 series. This is part of the first round of the National Basketball Association postseason. The Indiana Pacers lead the series 3-1 over the Milwaukee Bucks. The winner of this series will move on to face the winner of the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers series.
Indiana is the underdog in this series. The Pacers are the 6th seed after going 47-35 during the regular season. Indiana got beat in the first game of this series, but have backed it up with three straight wins since.
For the Milwaukee Bucks, the addition of Doc Rivers as head coach has not good as planned. Now, the Bucks are without their top two scorers, who missed Game 4, and likely will not play in this game as well. The Bucks went 49-33 during the regular season.
The Indiana Pacers are -4.5 on the road in this game.
Great Series for Pacers
The Indiana Pacers are one win away from reaching the second round of the postseason. After scoring just 94 in the series opener, the Pacers offense has gone crazy with 108, 118 and 113 in their last three games. Indiana is taking advantage of a beat up Milwaukee squad.
On the offensive side, the Pacers saw Myles Turner have his best game of the series on Sunday. Turner tossed in 29 points and recorded 9 rebounds in the game. Pascal Siakam was held to just 13 points, which was his lowest so far in the postseason.
The Pacers during the regular season were the top scoring team in all of the National basketball Association. Indiana scored 123.3 points per game. The Pacers also made over 50% of their shots. Siakam played half the season for Indiana, and led the team in scoring with 21.3 points per game.
Injuries Doing Bucks In
Both Giannis Anteteokounmpo and Damian Lillard missed Game 4. That is 54.7 points, 13.5 assists and over 15 rebounds per game not in the lineup. Bobby Portis was ejected, and now the Bucks have their backs against the wall.
In the loss, Brook Lopez led the way with 27 points, while Kris Middleton added 25 points and 10 rebounds. The Bucks scored 119 points per game in the regular season, but were a better defensive team than they have shown so far this series.
The winner of this series will move to the second round. The winner of the series will get the winner of the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers. Through four games, the Knicks lead the series 3-1 over their rival.
Bucks Keep Season Alive
The Milwaukee Bucks are going to stay alive here. How? Not sure. But, Milwaukee is not ready to go down without a fight. The Bucks would love to find a way and get some of their scoring back.
Without their top two scorers is a major problem. They somehow find a way here, and send this series back to Indiana. The final bet for this game is the Milwaukee Bucks +135 over the Indiana Pacers.
