Two of the most fun offenses this season will be squaring off against each other in a loaded Friday night slate on games in the NBA.
The Indiana Pacers, who will be without budding star Tyrese Haliburton for at least a few more weeks, will be on the road to the Western Conference to take on the top overall Denver Nuggets.
Denver not only is the top seed in the Western Conference, but also has one of the best home records in all of the NBA. Not too often will you find them making mistakes on their home court.
The Pacers were on the rise, but the Haliburton injury has set their offense back quite a bit as he was the piece that brought everything together.
As long as they can tread water, they can be sure to maintain one of the top six spots in the Eastern Conference, but they will be an underdog in this game as the Nuggets are favored at -11.5.
Buyers or sellers as the trade deadline approaches
For this year’s trade deadline, it doesn’t seem like too many teams will be making the blockbuster splash with a huge start being traded. There are some fringe candidates, though, and the Pacers are on that shortlist.
Before the season began, it would not have been surprising to say that most of the Pacers role players should be traded, but now they could potentially be buyers at the deadline.
Upgrading their forward spot potentially could be a good move for them, but that is easier said than done in the grand scheme of things.
For now, they will look to keep their head above water without Haliburton.
Another incredible year from the two-time MVP
Watching every Nuggets game this season is a complete joy as Nikola Jokic continues to dazzle everyone who sees him.
Jokic will decide on different nights how he wants to dissect the defense and sometimes accumulate enough stats for a triple-double while also only shooting five shots.
He is the one most interesting star in the NBA, and with a fully healthy roster around him, the Nuggets are a threat to win the NBA title.
The home court they have is one of their biggest advantages, as they continue to dominate any opponent that dares to step foot in their arena. The Pacers will not be spared from this treatment.
Pacers @ Nuggets Betting Prediction
Small market teams like the Nuggets and the Pacers will continue to lead the headlines in the NBA. Both franchises are in good hands for the foreseeable future.
Denver has every advantage in the book for this game, and it almost looks too easy to take them over the Pacers. They’ll have the best two players on the court in Jokic and Jamal Murray.
This looks like one of those games where Jokic will take only a handful of shots but still have a massive impact on both ends. Roll with the Nuggets at -11.5 to win at home.
