With nothing but drama through the first two weeks of the NFL, Week 3 is setting us up to deliver more high-stakes performances.
This will give us a chance to see the Kansas City Chiefs on the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts.
An AFC battle that would have been a good game had the first two weeks gone better for the Colts; they have struggled to put together any sort of consistency on offense.
All that to say, it isn’t like they won’t bounce back, but the Chiefs have looked the part of one of the perennial top teams in the NFL through two weeks.
Despite losing Tyreek Hill, Patrick Mahomes has been able to distribute the ball around to everyone on his roster and continues to impress us all.
Keep in mind the Colts were just shut out by the Jaguars as this line has moved significantly since it opened, with the Kansas City Chiefs now favored on the road at -6.5.
All the tools freely at Mahomes’ disposal
There is no misstep in anything that Kansas City is doing this season. They look tight on offense, defense, and special teams in their first two games.
The defense has dramatically improved and has been a big reason why they have been able to see so much success from their offense by providing great field positions on each of their series.
Mahomes can distribute, and every skill position player is someone he is utilizing on his roster.
Running backs, especially Clyde Edwards-Helaire, have made a significant leap in this new-look offense.
Heading for no man’s land in Indianapolis
With such a disastrous start to begin the season, the Colts are left picking up the pieces against one of the best teams in the entire NFL.
The addition of Matt Ryan was thought to solidify their quarterback woes, but it has yet to prove to be fruitful in any significant way.
That said, there are still pieces of this team that are strong, and it is going to be up to the coaching staff to figure out how to best utilize those strengths.
Jonathan Taylor will need to get more touches, and he will help bring them out of this rut.
Chiefs @ Colts Betting Prediction
With the Chiefs coming in as a huge road favorite, fans of the Colts have to be concerned with how their team has looked to open the season.
The passing attack suffered last week without Michael Pittman available, but he will hopefully be suiting up for this contest on Sunday.
Either way, the Chiefs are a scary good team and have all of the ingredients to make up a complete and balanced roster.
Mahomes now has all the time in the world when passing, and with such a strong offensive line in place, everyone benefits.
Take the Chiefs at -6.5 in this contest to win on the road and be sure to pay attention to whether or not Pittman laces up for this game.
