The Los Angeles Angels will take on the Chicago White Sox on Monday for what should be an interesting American League contest. The White Sox have struggled a bit this season, coming in at 22-33.
The Angels have played decent but sit in fourth place in the American League West at 28-26. Both of these teams have playoff aspirations and this series could be one that does have some implications towards the back end of the season. This is going to be the first game of a three-game set.
The White Sox are going to be coming in as a slight favorite on the moneyline at -135 and +150 on the run line.
Will Los Angeles Lose Four Straight?
When looking at the season that the Los Angeles Angels have had, it’s easy to see why people are a bit optimistic about what this team can do in the future. Despite some of their rough losses throughout the year, the Angels have more talent than nearly any team in baseball at the top end. With Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, this is arguably the best 1-2 duo that Major League Baseball has ever seen.
Los Angeles has struggled this season with their rotation and bullpen. Outside of Ohtani, they don’t have much in terms of what they can do on the mound. They’re coming off a disappointing series against the Miami Marlins, where they lost all three contests in Los Angeles.
Now with this one being in Chicago, they’re going to have to be hopeful that their pitching and hitting can come around. Their offense failed them in this previous series, and can’t do the same thing in this matchup if they want to win.
Liam Hendriks Could Help Chicago
The Chicago White Sox have been one of the most disappointing teams in Major League Baseball this season. Although they’re just six games behind the first-place American League Central-leading Minnesota Twins, the White Sox have arguably been one of the worst teams in the American League. They currently have the third-worst record in the American League, trailing just the Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics. It’s been an interesting past few seasons for the White Sox, and they’re hopeful that things are going to start turning around for them soon.
They just got Liam Hendriks back after he won his battle with cancer, and perhaps that could turn the locker room around. The right-handed veteran reliever has been one of the best relief pitchers in baseball throughout the past decade and could certainly help them in more ways than just that.
Los Angeles Angels at Chicago White Sox Betting Pick Prediction
With the Angels just recently dropping their last three games and the White Sox getting their glue back, it might not be a bad idea to play the White Sox in this game. Michael Kopech is going to be on the mound, and he’s thrown well against the Angels throughout his career. If he can continue dominating, Los Angeles could be in for a rough one again on the offensive side of the ball.
