On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers will face off against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in an NL West showdown. The Dodgers are 6-2 on the season, and the Rockies have started just 3-5.

Dodgers Off to Promising Start
The Dodgers won the first game of the series by a score of 10-6. Kenta Maeda started and got the win for LA, going 5 innings giving up just 1 earned run on 4 hits and 4 walks and struck out 4. The Dodgers used 6 arms out of the bullpen over the next 4 innings, and they allowed 5 runs and 6 hits. Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, and Russell Martin each hit solo home runs in this one. Muncy went 3 for 4 on the day, and Martin went 2 for 3. The Dodgers compiled 12 hits and had 1 error in the field.
Tyler Anderson got the start for Colorado in this one, going just 4 innings and allowed 6 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks and struck out 2. The Rockies bullpen allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits over the course of 5 innings. David Dahl went 1 for 4 with a solo home run, and Charlie Blackmon went 3 for 5. Trevor Story had a massive game, going 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI’s, but also struck out twice. Nolan Arenado went just 1 for 3 but drove in 2 runs.
Urias Gets Second Start
Julio Urias will draw his 2nd start of the season in this one. In his 1st start, Urias went 5 shutout innings and struck out 7 while allowing just 3 hits and didn’t walk a batter. In his career, Urias has started 21 games and is 5-4 with a 3.54 ERA. Justin Turner is one of the few Dodgers with success against Bettis in the past and has gone 10 for 25 against him. AJ Pollock has gone 3 for 8, and the rest of the Dodgers have not fared well. Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, Joc Pederson, and Corey Seager have combined for just 9 hits in 44 at bats which is a .205 average.
Chad Bettis will start for the Rockies, and he is coming off a rough outing in his 1st start of the season. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. Bettis returned to the mound last year after a battle with cancer and went 5-2 with a 5.01 ERA over 20 starts. Urias is a young pitcher, so the Rockies have not had much experience against him in his career. Nolan Arenado is 3 for 4, Charlie Blackmon is 2 for 3, and David Dahl has gone 1 for 2. Trevor Story is 0 for 2.
Take the Dodgers
The Dodgers come in at -145. Julio Urias looked great in his 1st start of the year while Chad Bettis struggled. Coors Field is a hitter-friendly park, and I expect the Dodger bats to stay hot in this one. Even though they haven’t had great success against Bettis, I think they will hammer him here as he did not look good last week. Urias is young and has only faced these hitters in one game, so that favors him. Take the Dodgers -145.
