An exciting matchup between two fantastic teams will take place on Monday night. The NFL’s Week 11 primetime slate has been electric, and will conclude with the Rams and Buccaneers in a game with massive playoff implications.
L.A. impressed last weekend in their win over Seattle. Now that the Seahawks took down the Cardinals, a victory for this Rams team is critical. The race in the NFC West is airtight, and any loss they suffer along the way will burn them and kill their chances. A playoff appearance at year’s end is likely, but this week, things are personal.
Tampa Bay cruised against Carolina a week ago, en route to improving to 7-3 on the year. Brady looked fantastic, doing an excellent job of spreading the ball between his receivers. Antonio Brown gave us a legitimate glimpse at what he’s capable of, hauling in seven passes for 69 yards, his best performance since we last saw him in Pittsburgh.
The spread has the home Buccaneerss favored by four points. The over/under is set at 48.5.
Rams Revenge Game?
A victory for L.A. would be great for many reasons. It would keep them on Seattle’s tail in the battle for the top seed in the NFC West. It would give them revenge on Brady from the 2018 Super Bowl. And it would prove to the rest of the league that though most of their wins are against inferior competition, that they are, in fact, a threat.
In letting Todd Gurley go, the Rams opened things up in the backfield. They have been splitting the carries between Malcolm Brown, Darrell Henderson, and Cam Akers. All of them have been able to find success, and it’s very difficult to gameplan against that type of rushing attack.
Aaron Donald is continuing to prove why he is the toughest player to slow down in the league, helping the pass-rush to excellent numbers with nine sacks. Jared Goff has also been playing great football.
Bucs Looking for Eighth Win
Since Brady joined Twitter, his team’s wins have been a little different. He posts a video, always titled “W” after victories, with a message and a highlight or two from the game. His social media team generally takes care of creating the video, while Brady ultimately presses “send.”
The team has picked up seven wins in their ten games so far. Brady has been a touchdown machine during his first season in Tampa Bay. He was able to get Rob Gronkowski out of retirement while also being instrumental in the signing of Antonio Brown a month ago.
When you add in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay has an offense loaded with playmakers. Ronald Jones is playing well above expectations, and the Bucs have playmakers all over their defense. There is no question Tampa Bay is a Super Bowl contender. They aim for 8-3 here.
Bucs Win Again
Sorry Rams, but Brady’s got you beat again. A Bucs win will close out Week 11 and move Tampa Bay closer to securing the top seed in the NFC.
