LSU Has Four Decent Players; Weatherspoon Leads Mississippi
LSU has 4 players who average double-figure scoring on the season. Tremont Waters leads them with 15.1 points per game and leads the team with 6 assists a game. Skylar Mays adds 13.4 a game and Naz Reid scores 13.2 a game. Ja’vonte Smart rounds out the 4 with 10.6 per game. Emmitt Williams is the leading rebounder with 6.1 per game. The Tigers have nobody who is shooting above 40% from 3-point range and are shooting and are shooting 47.2% from the field on the season. Mississippi St is led by Quinndary Weatherspoon, who averages 17.6 points per game. Lamar Peters is scoring 12.9 per game and is leading the team in assists with 5.8 a game. Aric Holman adds 10.9 per game and is the leading rebounder with 7.4 per game. Holman is also shooting 42.3% from 3-point range. Bulldogs Keep Wins Coming
Mississippi St comes in at -2.5. The key factor in this one will be the home court advantage. This crowd will be reared up and ready go. Even though LSU has been great on the road this season, they have not beaten a team that is higher than 8th in the SEC on the road. I think Quinndary will have an incredible game and the Bulldog offense will be able to score relatively easily against a not-so-great LSU defense, and the Bulldogs have averaged 85.5 a game at home. Take Mississippi St -2.5.
