The Heat will be traveling to face the hottest team in the league for a battle on Sunday night. Winners now of 18 of their past 19 games, this Utah team needs to be taken seriously. There will be no blowing of a 3-1 lead in the opening round of the playoffs this year, and they are making sure to let everybody know that things have changed.
Miami has been playing better of late, even dealing with significant injuries. Max Strus shot the lights out for them against Houston a few nights ago to secure a close win. Jimmy Butler posted a triple-double and also seemed to be back to his prime form. And Kelly Olynyk is shooting the ball as if he legally changed his name to Duncan Robinson.
Utah, on the other hand, just has no faults. Even as Mike Conley has been missing a ton of games, the wins have continued. The Bucks had been one of the hottest teams in the league, but it didn’t matter when they went against Utah. The Jazz was able to secure their win, and in doing so, improve their record now to 21-5. This is after 4-4 starting out.
ODDS:
The spread for Saturday night’s matchup is set at UTAH -5.5. The over/under is slated to be 217.5 points.
Heat Look for Major Upset
The 2019-20 Miami Heat were all about sneaking up on teams. Most folks thought they would struggle in round one with Indiana. They got a sweep. And then, Giannis and company would decimate them and send them home. They beat the Bucks in 5. They won’t beat Boston, they said. Heat in six.
And the cherry on top was when everybody complained about the finals matchup. Only for Miami to steal two games from the Lakers and really challenge them on many levels. This is a team that is off to a slower start this season but has to turn it around at some point. There is no doubt that they will be able to do that.
Jimmy is just too hungry to watch the team continue to lose. A big run is coming. Just wait on it.
Jazz Look to Stay Red Hot
There is no more impressive NBA team this season than the Utah Jazz. Not one. It is impossible to name one who has defied their expectations quite like this to have the best record, the midway point just a few weeks ago. They didn’t make any major changes, aside from bringing back Derrick Favors.
It seems that Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are on the same page now, while Bojan Bogdanovic is shooting how he was expected to. Mike Conley had been playing very well, but the wins have continued in his absence. The main thing seems to be that the team knows their identity like the back of their hand, so there isn’t much to question.
A win here would improve Utah to 22-5.
Sorry, Miami
The Heat will be falling short in this contest as Utah delivers yet another win. 22 wins in 27 games! Who would’ve thought?
