So far so good for the Bucks. There is not much that they could be doing better than they are right now, and even with Malcolm Brogdon out, they have gotten out to a convincing 3-0 lead. Giannis struggled during Game 3, but the team was still able to get the W.
Detroit, on the other hand, has lost 13 playoff games in a row. It’s been a long time since they have been able to come away victorious, and they are hoping to win at least one in front of the home fans. They took this spot from D-Wade, so they owe it to the Heat to win one game.
Milwaukee is a -12 point favorite for this contest, with the over/under set at 218 points.
Bucks On A Roll
There isn’t much that the Bucks could be doing right now. They have six players averaging in double figures in this series, as they have gotten help from various players. And after Nikola Mirotic was finally able to get his shot going last game, we’ll see if he’s able to keep it up in this one.
Both Giannis and Bledsoe are scoring over 20 points per game in this series to lead the team, and as far as Bledsoe goes, this is a welcome sight. After he struggled against Terry Rozier in this round last year, he has started anew and his two-way play has impressed.
Milwaukee has four players averaging at least one block, and none of the games have ended up being too close. It has been clear from the get-go that they are the alpha dogs in this series, as they look to become the second team to move to round two.
Griffin Doesn’t Make Difference
We were treated to a surprising Blake Griffin return in game three. However, it did not make too much of a difference. The Pistons played a decent first quarter and a half for their home fans, but that was it. They got blown out for a third straight contest.
The last time they won a playoff game was the fourth contest in their Eastern Conference Finals series with the Celtics on May 26, 2008. Thirteen losses in a row gives them the longest active streak for most playoff losses in a row. Blake had 27-7-6 and was aggressive from the beginning, but it wasn’t enough.
Andre Drummond’s +/- has been horrendous in this series, as he has not been able to contain Brook Lopez, or finish shots at the rim. Langston Galloway and Wayne Ellington are both shooting just 30 percent from the floor as their shots haven’t dropped. This team lacks playmakers and weapons to come up with timely hoop.
Bucks Close The Door
Fourteen playoff losses in a row and three straight sweeps in the postseason. The game has not been kind to the Pistons for a long time. Milwaukee, on the other hand, will punch their ticket for a playoff rematch against the Boston Celtics. Only this time, Milwaukee should be the favored team.
