The jury is officially out on the Minnesota Vikings as one of the most confusing teams we have seen in NFL history.
Somehow they have managed to put together 12 wins on the season, but each of their four losses have been some of the worst losses any team has seen this season. They will take this record on the road Sunday against the Chicago Bears, who are currently in the running for the number one pick in the draft.
The NFC North has been questionable for most of the season, and this game does not have too much bearing on the final standings in the long run.
As each week goes by, more and more people are losing respect for the Vikings, and it is pretty clear that teams have no trouble moving the ball on them.
The line for this game proves this: with a nine-game difference in the win column, the Vikings are favored at home by a measly -3.5.
How can the Vikings prove they are a force in the NFC?
After another dismal showing against the rival Packers in Green Bay, the Vikings have a lot to prove in the final week of the regular season.
Really, the only way that people would be more for the Vikings is if they found a way to come out and score an obscene amount of points against the Bears.
The offense was one of the only major highlights for this team, and they looked absolutely miserable in Green Bay. Justin Jefferson was a non-factor in the biggest sense of the word.
The last time these two squared off made for a late fourth-quarter touchdown to give the Vikings a victory.
Do the Bears have anything to play for in this game?
For a while, Chicago fans were one of the most excited in the league as Justin Fields came roaring on to the scene with his rushing ability.
Somehow, none of this translated to wins, and the Bears have been sitting at three wins for almost the entire season.
This puts them in a position for the number one overall pick in the draft, and really between their game and Houston’s game, we might see a shake-up for that top spot.
It begs the question if they have anything to go for in this game, or if they would rather secure a top spot and look towards the future.
Vikings @ Bears Betting Prediction
Two teams in the NFC North have had dramatically different experiences and continue to make everyone scratch their heads as the final week of the regular season takes head.
A small line between these two teams makes you question who is actually going to suit up for this game, but the Vikings need a little bit of momentum before heading into the playoffs.
They will have trouble stopping their Bears and their superior rushing attack, but with their home crowd behind them, they should win this game at home at -3.5.
