Game 4 is looking to be a crucial matchup for the Blues; the Blues are the favorites at -115.
Wild Look To Extend Series Lead
The Wild lost game one of the series after getting shut out by the Blues and losing 4-0. The Wild had their fair share of chances but ultimately could not score after recording 37 shots. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury did not have his best performance after letting up four goals on 31 shots.
The Wild then bounced back and put up six goals in Game 2. All-star forward Kirill Kaprizov exploded, scoring a hat trick. Fleury also looked much better in the net, stopping 32 of 34 shots.
Game 3 was all Wild as they took the series lead after defeating the Blues 5-1 in Game 3. Kaprizov led the offense again, recording two points, and Fleurty stopped 29 out of 30 shots.
The Wild’s offense needs to stay hot if they want to win Game 4.
Blues Look To Even Series
The Blues dominated Game 1 of the series, winning 4-0 on the road. Special teams was the difference for the Blues after scoring two power-play goals. Goaltender Ville Huso also recorded a shutout, and David Perron scored a hattrick.
In Game 2, the Blues lost 6-2 on the road. The Blues’ penalty kill struggled and allowed two goals. Husso also struggled in the net and allowed six goals on 28 shots.
The Blues then went back home and lost again 5-1. The Blues got dominated in this game as the offense struggled to score as they scored once on 30 shots. Husso’s struggles also continued as he allowed five goals on 33 shots.
The Blues need to find offense and goaltending if they want to even the series.
Wild/Blues Betting Prediction
This game is going to be a close one, but I believe that the Wild will find a crucial Game 4 win in St Louis on Sunday. The Wild’s power play has been hot, and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been a brick wall in the net.
The Wild’s offense has also been explosive the last two games scoring 11 goals, while their defense has also been solid, only allowing three. Husso has also been struggling and does not have much confidence in the net for the Blues. The Blues also have several key players missing due to injury, including defenseman Nick Leddy.
The Wild moneyline at -110 is the pick of the night.
