They received 2 first place votes in the poll.
For the Kentucky Wildcats – they are 2-0 with wins over Utah Valley and Vermont. The Wildcats dropped in the polls, as they started the season at #5, and are now #7 in this game. The Wildcats are members of the SEC – and the big time favorites, although Florida is going to compete at the top with the Wildcats. The Kansas Jayhawks are -3 over the Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday night.

The Kansas Jayhawks are led by head coach Bill Self, and have several new guys on their roster, but also have guys returning from a season ago. Devante Graham is the leader of the team, and will be the starting point guard all season. In the win, Graham scored 10 points, and dished out 12 assists in the game.
Lagerald Vick, who played off and on a season ago was the leading scorer, with 23 points in the game. The Jayhawks are going to look to replace Frank Mason, who is now in the National Basketball Association. John Calipari has some work to do with the Kentucky Wildcats. The Wildcats have started slow, but are unbeaten. The Wildcats scored 73 points in both games, and allowed 63 and 69. Kentucky sees a full new roster of players this season. The roster looks completely different, and through two games Hamidou Diallo leads the team with 17 points per game.
The good news for Kentucky has been their ability to find new guys to score. The Wildcats have three guys that are scoring double figures per game. Kevin Knox and PJ Washington are second and third on the team. The Wildcats following this game will not see another ranked team until December 23rd when they battle UCLA.

This game features a team with a few guys back from last season, against a whole new batch of guys. The Kansas Jayhawks have won the last couple times these two teams have played, and look for that to continue again in this game The Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats are both going to have great crowds in Chicago, and the late winner is going to be the Kansas Jayhawks.
