The Texas Tech Red Raiders are coming into the game fresh off a pounding over the Purdue Boilermakers. Texas Tech is 27-9 after a second place finish in the Big 12 regular season. For the Villanova Wildcats, they struggled early against the West Virginia Mountaineers, but came away with a win on Friday. Villanova is 33-4 on the season. The Wildcats are -6.5 over Texas Tech on Sunday.

Villanova Wildcats
The Villanova Wildcats are the favorites to win the title according to most around the game. It will not be easy for the Wildcats with their second straight Big 12 opponent, followed by either Kansas or Duke in the Final Four. The Wildcats have been tough in the tournament with wins of 26, 23 and 12 thus far.
Villanova is scoring 84 points per game during the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats finished second to Xavier in the regular season out of the Big East. Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges are the top scorers for the Wildcats. They are combining for more than 37 points per game.
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Chris Beard has done a great job as the leader of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Many felt the Red Raiders were not quite for real until they went to Lawrence and blasted the Jayhawks just after New Years. Texas Tech went through a stretch of losses in February, but Keenan Evans had a hurt toe during that stretch.
The Red Raiders are 15th in College Basketball on the defensive side. They are allowing just 64.6 points per game. In the Big Dance, in the trio of wins over Stephen F. Austin, Florida and Purdue, the Red Raiders allowed just under 64 points per game. Texas Tech has never reached the NCAA Final Four.
Red Raiders Battle
Jay Wright and his Villanova Wildcats just have that extra button to turn on when they need it. They showed that in the win over West Virginia. The Wildcats can shoot the basketball, and show great toughness. Villanova is looking for their second national title in three seasons.
Chris Beard and Texas Tech have been fantastic, especially since their top scorer Keenan Evans came back from his injury. The Red Raiders are tough, and athletic on the offensive end.
