Week 3 has delivered a number of surprises in the NFL, and it all will culminate on this week’s edition of Monday Night Football in an NFC East duel.
The undefeated New York Giants will go on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys who are led by Cooper Rush.
Despite the Cowboys having their backup quarterback, they might be better off with Rush as opposed to Daniel Jones on the opposite side of the field.
Rush showed some gusto in their most recent victory over the Bengals when he was able to lead the game-winning drive and set up for a long field goal.
In just two starts in his NFL career, Rush has managed to secure two game-winning drives.
The Giants are looking to remain one of the last undefeated teams, but they will have their work cut out for them as their offense has not looked very strong.
As we take a look at this line before tonight’s game, the Giants are favored on road over the Cowboys at -1.
New York: new coach, new life
Brian Daboll has been an immediate game changer for the Giants this season and continues to showcase his leadership on the sideline.
Although the Giants have definitely not been the strongest of teams, their coaching has allowed them to get over the hump in some of these close games.
The offense is stale at times, but the explosiveness is present; it just needs to be utilized in the right way. Saquon Barkley is going to be a key player moving forward.
If the Giants focus on limiting their turnovers, then they will have a solid chance to win matches against any opponent.
No Dak Prescott, no problem for the Cowboys
Despite Cooper Rush’s limitations in throwing the ball, the Cowboys still managed to secure a late victory against Cincinnati, and their defense looked sensational.
Everything about their pass rush, led by the phenom Micah Parsons, has made this team take that much-needed leap in their game.
The offense is still looking to gather all of the appropriate pieces, and they have been unable to get their rushing attack any love.
Still, they can hang around in any of these matchups, and they are certainly going to be motivated as the home underdogs in this game.
Giants @ Cowboys Betting Prediction
Both of these teams still have quite the chance to make a run into the postseason, but there will be a hill to climb to get over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The hype train appears to be running just a little bit too strong for the Giants, and their team isn’t really lights out on either side of the ball.
Other than the public taking them, it makes no sense for them to be favored on the road against a division rival that is fresh off a win with their backup quarterback.
With that said, roll with the Cowboys as the home underdog in this game at +1, and expect them to take care of business.
