Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the National Hockey League will take place on Tuesday. The New York Rangers and Florida Panthers will meet up. The Rangers lead the series 2-1 after back to back over time wins. The winner of this series will head to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they will see either Dallas or Edmonton.
The New York Rangers are two wins away from heading to the Stanley Cup. The Rangers are the top seed in the league after their 55-23-4 regular season. The Rangers won the Metro Division. After series wins over the Capitals and Hurricanes, they are looking to put away the Panthers as well.
For Florida, they are 52-24-6 on the season. The Panthers won the Atlantic Division by a single point over Boston. The Panthers took down Tampa Bay in five games, and Boston in six. Florida won Game 1 of the series, but have dropped back to back games.
The New York Rangers are underdogs on the road here. Florida is listed at -170 over the Rangers. The total is 5.5.
Rangers Looking to Take Command
Alex Wennberg scored his first goal of the postseason, 5:35 into overtime, and the Rangers came away with a massive overtime win. That goal came a game after the Game 2 win saw Barclay Goodrow light the lamp in overtime to win the game.
New York also got two goals in game three from Alex Lafreniere, and Barclay Goodrow scored two more of his own. Igor Shesterkin recorded 33 saves in the win, and it was his 10th win of the postseason. During the regular season, he recorded 36 wins, with just 17 losses.
Artemi Panarin has been mostly quiet in this series, with just one assist so far. In the series against Carolina, he was able to score two goals, and dish out six assists in the game. Vincent Trocheck recorded two assists, and now has four points in the series.
Florida Seeking to Even Series at Home
For the Florida Panthers, their lone goal in the Game 2 loss was from Connor Verhaege. It was his 8th of the postseason. The Panthers saw Sam Reinhart score two first period goals in Game 3. He now has 7 in the postseason.
Alexander Barkov and Gustav Forsling scored the third period goals and tied the game for the Panthers. Barkov now has six in the postseason. Matthew Tkachuk was one of the top scorers on the team this season. In this series, he has a goal and three assists. In the series against Boston, he had a goal and 4 assists.
Florida’s goaltender has been Sergei Bobrovsky. He has allowed 7 goals in the last two games. So far in the postseason, he has lost just five times. During the regular season, he went 36-17-4, and allowed just 2.37 goals per game.
Panthers Top Rangers
We like Florida to bounce back. The Panthers have not played bad hockey, just allowed the last goal in back to back games. Florida is talented, and at home, they are going to rally to even the series up.
The Panthers win this game, and it’s all tied at 2-2 heading back to New York City. The final bet for this game is the Florida Panthers -170 over the New York Rangers. Enjoy the game and best of luck!
