Prime-time baseball is bringing an incredible matchup in our direction on Tuesday night when the New York Yankees are on the road to take on the Cleveland Guardians.
As two of the premier teams in the American League, the series between the Yankees and the Guardians is surely going to be a treat with a lot of highlight plays to show for it.
Aaron Judge is off to another incredible year and is picking up right where he left off after last season’s record-breaking events.
As two of the highest-scoring teams in this first stretch of games, it is expected to see a whole lot of offense from both the Guardians and the Yankees.
Ahead of the matchup on Tuesday night, the projected pitching lineup for this game is going to start Gerrit Cole for the Yankees and Hunter Gaddis for the Guardians.
Ahead of the first pitch, the Yankees are favored on the road over the Guardians at -1.5 runs.
Taking advantage of the ace at the helm
If there is any game to win in this series for the Yankees, this would be it. Starting Gerrit Cole in any game almost feels like a cheat code and he is able to single-handedly shut teams down.
So far this season, he already has garnered two wins under his belt and boasts a less than 1.00 ER against the batters he has faced.
The rest of the Yankees are in business as usual, and Judge is the leader of the rotation by far. His batting average has soared this season with a massive amount of home runs already piled up.
This team is going to be hard to stop long-term, and the Guardians are going to have their hands full.
A balanced approach from the Guardians
The Guardians, contrary to the Yankees, are not a team that is about big-time home run counts in games. They have a more steady approach to their batting, and hits come by the handful each inning.
Purely speaking on runs scored, the Guardians are right up there near the top with the Yankees, but they have a significantly lower slugging percentage to date.
That could just mean that there is plenty of room for improvement and they could be set to have a big April to get them going.
Either way, they are still a great team and have a chance to give the Yankees everything they can handle.
Yankees @ Guardians Betting Preview
Game one of this series took a surprise turn when the Guardians were able to put up a surprise run in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead over the Yankees.
With only four hits on the night, the Guardians were able to get the job done on their home field.
This provides the Yankees every opportunity to bounce back in game two with their ace ready to be deployed. Take New York to win this one at -1.5 runs over Cleveland.
