This will be a memorable primetime showdown in Dallas tonight, with first-place on the line. Philly has had their ups and downs, but after the performance they put in against the Vikings last week, it is clear that they have a lot to work on. With injuries all over the place, they are still trying to figure each other out, but they won’t quit. Carson Wentz is looking to rally the troops into first place.
Dallas could not be trending in a worse direction right now. They began the season with three wins in a row, but have since gone 0-3, dropping them to .500. Dak Prescott has not shown that he is worth paying over $40 million a year to as he wildly suggested over the offseason, while Zeke really has not been doing anything special for this group. They will need their defense to step up and slow Philly, with the offense trying to do some damage in the clutch part of the game, for a change.
ODDS:
The spread for tonight favors the slumping Cowboys by 2.5 points, while the over/under is set at 49.
Philly looking to take over atop the NFC East
They have had their ups and downs over the first six games they have played, but still a chance to move atop the NFC East is on the board for these guys so they will have to play like they mean it and get the job done in this upcoming battle. They have wins over the Jets, Packers and Redskins, with losses against the Falcons, Lions and Vikings. The schedule does not get easier after this game with Buffalo and Chicago to follow, so if they are serious about taking this division, now is the opportunity for them to strike,
The pass-rush has been under-achieving but Brandon Graham has continued to do his thing with four sacks. They have also picked off opposing QB’s seven times and they will be looking to catch a few of Dak’s errant throws.
Cowboys trying to snap their three-game skid
Dallas picked up wins against the Giants, Dolphins and Redskins to open the year, not proving much as these were all gimme’s. They lost to the Saints by two in a low-scoring game, while the Jets were surprisingly able to take them out by two as well. Against the Packers, they fell short when they needed yards, Dak’s 441 not proving to be enough for them. Amari Cooper has been a very good wide receiver in home games and they will need him to do what he is capable of this week. His play could be the difference between a win or loss.
Their defense has enough playmakers to slow Philly down, but they just need to work together as a solid, cohesive unit for it to result in a win.
Eagles extend Cowboys woes
A win is coming to the Eagles, putting them into first place! Sorry Jerry, and the boys.
