On Wednesday night, the North Carolina Tar Heels will travel to Cameron Indoor Stadium to take on the Duke Blue Devils in one of the most storied rivalries in sports history. North Carolina comes in ranked 8th with a 20-5 record and is in 3rd place in the ACC. Duke comes in ranked number 1 with a 23-2 record and is in 1st place in the ACC.

Both Teams Coming Off Blowout Wins
North Carolina is coming off a 95-57 blowout win at Wake Forest on Saturday. The Tar Heels led by 28 at the half and were in control from the get-go. Cameron Johnson led the way for UNC with 27 points on 10 of 13 shooting and went 7 for 10 from 3-point range. Luke Maye and Coby White each chipped in 10 points on a combined 9 for 17 shooting. Maye tied for the team lead in rebounds with Garrison Brooks at 7 boards, and Coby White led the team in assists with 6 to go along with 5 rebounds himself.
Duke is coming off a 94-78 home win over NC St on Saturday. Duke had a comfortable lead throughout this game but was never able to blow out the Wolfpack. Zion Williamson led the team with 32 points on 12 of 16 shooting and grabbed 6 rebounds. RJ Barrett had a monster game, as he earned the Duke’s first triple-double since 2006, going for 23 points on 8 of 17 shooting to go along with a team-high 11 rebounds and a team-high 10 assists. Cam Reddish chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Johnson Leads Tar Heels
The Tar Heels are led in scoring by Cameron Johnson, who is averaging 16.3 points a game and shooting an outrageous 47.9% from 3-point range. He is followed by freshman superstar Coby White and senior Luke Maye who average 15.7 and 14.5 points per game, respectively. White leads the team in assists with 4.3 a game and Maye leads the Tar Heels on the glass with 9.6 a game. Nassir Little averages 9.6 points and 4.4 rebounds each game. The Tar Heels are averaging 87.5 points per game on 47.5% shooting but are allowing opponents to score 73.3 a game.
R.J. Barrett is the leading scorer for this talented Duke team. Barrett drops 22.7 points per game, and Zion Williamson has been just as good with 22.4 a game. Cam Reddish is the only other Blue Devil averaging double figures, scoring 13.8 points a game. Williamson is the leading rebounder for Duke with 9.2 a game and Tre Jones is the leading assist man with 5.4 per game. The Blue Devils do not have a player shooting above 37% from 3-point range and are not good from the free throw line, shooting just 68.3%. Duke has been incredible on offense this season, averaging 86.4 points per game on 48.6% field goal shooting and have held opponents to 66.1 points per game.
Duke Will Dominate
Duke comes in at -9. That is a ton of points for a huge rivalry game like this one that is usually always close, but this Duke team is a different animal. They will be out for blood this game as they are trying to prove that they are one of the best Duke teams ever assembled. Cameron Indoor will be rocking more than usual, and I think that the inexperienced guard play of North Carolina will falter in this massive stage en route to a double-digit Duke victory. Take Duke -9.
