Game 6 of the NBA Finals is going down on Tuesday night. And it might mark the final game of the season, the end of what has been a wild year for so many reasons. And the game is being played in Milwaukee, which is a stat as big as any marked down ahead of the matchup. It could be the one thing that is the end-all, be-all.
So far this season, the Milwaukee Bucks have played 10 playoff games at home. And they have come away with wins in nine of them. At 9-1, the only time they were defeated came when they went against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. He scored 48 to lift them to that one, and that is the only time they fell short here. That being said, it could give them the edge they need.
The Phoenix Suns have been a good road team, winning twice at the Staples Center in both rounds one and two. They picked up a pair of road wins against the Denver Nuggets too. But this series, they dropped both of their games away from home. Going against their old teammate PJ Tucker, this could be the one that ends their magnificent season, two wins short of claiming the chip.
At the end of the day, Giannis Antetokounmpo is trying to guide the Bucks to a title, and he is so close.
ODDS
The spread for game 6 is the highest it’s been for either side, at MIL -5. The over/under is 222 points.
Suns Try to Save Season
One road win for the Suns and the NBA Finals would be in a game 7 for the first time since the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors in 2016. The team is incredible and has been so tough to beat all year. But now, having dropped three in a row, all things are against them.
Losing home-court advantage is very tough, especially in a time when fans are just starting to return to arenas in these massive numbers. Devin Booker has been magnificent, but in consecutive games, he has scored big, and the team has been short. Chris Paul has had his moments but has not been good enough.
If they want a win, they need to limit the damage of Giannis, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton.
Bucks Seek to End Series
If the Bucks win on Tuesday, it is all over. They are a single win from claiming the title and coming up with the trophy for the first time since 1971. 50 years ago was the last time they won the title, and now they are on the verge and playing in front of their home fans.
PJ Tucker plays great defense in all the minutes he is out there, and it all matters. He can cover players at all five positions but is being used much better now than he was during his days with the Houston Rockets.
The team will need 85+ points between Antetokounmpo/Holiday/Middleton to clinch the title. And they need anybody but Booker to come up big.
BUCKS IN SIX!
The Bucks will get the win, Giannis will take home his first Finals MVP, and it will end here.
