Two of the early budding teams in the Western Conference have been in a slight freefall as they handle the injuries on their roster. These two will square off on Tuesday night when the Phoenix Suns make the short trip to take on the Golden State Warriors.
Before his injury, Devin Booker was playing like an MVP. Since he has been out, it was wishful thinking for Chris Paul to take over the team as he is now dealing with more injuries of his own.
There is still room to grow for both of these rosters, and Golden State managed to get some valuable experience for their team without Steph Curry.
Last season, it was about the only time they struggled, but they have excelled on their home court and will likely do the same here in this matchup.
As such, the Warriors draw the home favorite over the Phoenix Suns at -10.
Falling behind everyone else’s improvements
The Suns have been a contender ever since Chris Paul stepped into the building, but their roster has yet to improve as much as someone like Denver, Los Angeles, or Golden State.
In fact, most of the middling teams have now surpassed them in terms of talent on the court, but the Suns still have some firepower in them.
Once Booker is able to return, this team will really have their work cut out for them to stay alive in the gauntlet that is the NBA Western Conference.
What would be most helpful for this team in the coming weeks is to see some dominance and assertion by DeAndre Ayton at center, who has been coy to say the least.
Road issues with a side of home success
The Warriors have been two different teams this season. At home, they are dominant and score with ease, and momentum carries from possession to possession.
When they hit the road, they hardly look together and seem to bicker more and more often on the sidelines and during timeouts.
This team is the defending champion, and once Curry returns tonight, they can beat the likes of anyone in the NBA.
Experience for their roster to figure out how to score without Steph Curry is valuable nonetheless, and for their sake, hopefully, it allowed Curry to earn some time off in order to be fully healthy for another run.
Suns @ Warriors Betting Prediction
With the way these two teams have been dealing with injuries in this middle part of the season, it’s safe to say that they are on equal ground.
The ancillary players are going to be the game-changers for this matchup, and the home crowd backing the Warriors makes for a rough time for the Suns. The return of Curry will invigorate the crowd even more.
Golden State has been a dominant team on their home court, so take them as the favorite in this one to win over the Phoenix Suns at -10. There should be no issues for their role players.
