The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Indiana Pacers for game 5 of their Eastern Conference Playoff series. The series is tied up at 2 wins a piece, with each team stealing a game on the road in this series. The Cavs hope returning home will help them win the pivotal game 5, while Indiana wants to stun the Cleveland fans again.
This has been a very competitive series, and things are starting to get chippy between the teams. The Pacers are trying to frustrate LeBron James and also make someone other than James beat them. The Cavs are still trying to find some consistent play after a season in which their roster was completely overhauled. The Cleveland Cavaliers are -6.5 over the Indiana Pacers in game 5.

Cavaliers Still Struggling to Support James
Cleveland was able to win game 4 and even the series thanks to LeBron James. King James has been terrific all series, but he’s been the only reliable player on the Cavs roster. In game 4, All Star Kevin Love, scored just 5 points in 29 minutes of action. Love simply has to play better in support of James if the Cavs are going to win game 5.
The Pacers are doing their best to frustrate James, but so far LeBron has been up for the challenge. James is averaging a near triple double in this series, and also providing great leadership. Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue continues to search for the right pieces to play alongside James.
Pacers Are Keeping Pressure On
The Indiana Pacers are doing their best to make life hard on LeBron, but the Cavs star was able to overcome their efforts and steal game 4. The Pacers missed a great chance to take a 3-1 series lead, and now they must win another game in Cleveland. Victor Oladipo has played well for the Pacers, but shot just 5-20 in game 4 and wasn’t able to lead his team to the victory.
Lance Stephenson is no stranger to guarding James, and will look to limit LeBron in game 5. The Pacers are also hoping that Bojan Bogdanovic can give them another performance like he did in game 3. In that contest, Bogdanovic scored 30 points while also playing terrific defense against James. Indiana remains confident and has already proven that they can win a game in Cleveland.
Cavs Win a Close Game
The last three games in this series have been decided by 4 points or less. These two teams are evenly matched and no team has been able to show any consistency from game to game. Any team that features LeBron James won’t be easy to eliminate, and the Pacers have their hands full now.
Indiana knows that they can win in Cleveland, having doing so in game 1. The Pacers blew a great chance to take a commanding lead in this series by losing game 4 on their home floor. The Pacers will challenge the Cavaliers all night, and LeBron will need to have another monster game for the Cavs to win. Look for the Pacers to keep this game close and maybe even steal game 5 on the road. Bet the Indiana Pacers +6.5 over the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 5.
