In a wild and wacky first round, the NBA Playoffs have not disappointed in their opening games.
Thursday night brings a game three matchup already, and the Sacramento Kings will be on the road to take on the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors dropped the opening two games and it really all began and ended with how solid the Kings have played as a complete unit.
Continuing this stretch against the defending champs seems like it will be unlikely on the road, but Draymond Green will be suspended for this game after his actions against Domantas Sabonis in game two.
It poses a new challenge for Golden State, as they were already struggling to put together any sort of consistent stops against the Kings offense.
All eyes will be on this late Western Conference matchup, and ahead of the matchup, the Warriors are favored on their home court at -5.5 over the Kings.
The clutchest player in the league with the clutchest team in the league
In the first two games of the series, the Kings did not disappoint. From start to finish, the Kings played a complete game and got major contributions from De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk in both contests.
Both Fox and Monk have been playing together for years and the duo finding themselves in Sacramento together is a treat that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Golden State has had no answers for this dynamic duo, and the Kings have done everything to elevate the guards on their team.
What is most scary for fans of the Warriors, is the Kings have not even played their best game yet and still could potentially go up a level.
The Warriors have been in this position before
While Golden State has hardly faced a two-game deficit in any of their recent playoff successes, the Warriors have dealt with a Draymond Green suspension in a big spotlight before.
If Draymond had to miss any game of the series, the home opener is probably the one to take with how much energy will be in the building for this team.
The Warriors won’t need that huge spark for energy from Green, but they are going to miss his defense, as many of the other Warriors have not been defending at a high level.
None of the games have been a bad performance for Golden State, but they are going to have to match the intensity of Sacramento to even this series back up.
Kings @ Warriors Betting Prediction
Most people thought the Warriors would be able to steal at least one of the games in Sacramento to open the series.
While they still only need to defend their home court, this is a precarious situation where the Warriors have their backs against the wall.
It’s rare to see, but they still draw a pretty decent favorite over the Kings. Take Golden State to win on their home court in this one at -5.5.
