Ah yes, a thrilling late-season battle between teams with flipped records. Houston has won nine of ten games since their surprising 0-3 start, while the Jets dominated Detroit in week one, and have not looked the same ever since. Deshaun Watson has been on a tear, while JJ Watt continues to show that he’s still got it!
Sam Darnold has battled foot issues, but should be out there for the Jets this week. With Isaiah Crowell out for the season and Bilal Powell dealing with a neck injury, it is Elijah McGuire time. The team is thin at RB, but it will be something to watch for, who emerges as the top back. The Texans are -7.

Texans Looking to Win Division
With the fifth-best scoring defense in the NFL this year, there has not been a true weakness that this Texans team has displayed. They have been doing nothing but winning since late September, and they have been quite a force. Their rushing offense, which ranks #3 in the league in both yards and attempts, could be getting an old friend back for the game, as D’Onta Foreman is off the PUP list and may suit up. Lamar Miller is leading with 909 yards, while Alfred Blue has rushed for 467, and Deshaun Watson has added 410 more.
DeAndre Hopkins has continued to look like one of the best in the league at what he does, with 84 catches for 1,151 yards and nine touchdowns. Getting to play with Andre Johnson early in his career definitely helped mold him into the player he is today. And on D, watch out for the Clowney/Watt duo, with 19.5 sacks this season. Watt alone has five forced fumbles.
Jets Finishing Season
Likely making a coaching change at the end of the season, they just hope to make Coach Bowles look good during his last few weeks. They rank in the bottom ten in both offense and defense, as the team has failed to consistently put points on the board. They are next-to-last in first downs. They did knock off the Bills in exciting fashion last week, a good sign for a team that had not win since October 14 against the Colts. It has been a learning year for Sam Darnold who has 2,104 yards and 12 TD’s, while throwing 15 picks.
Isaiah Crowell had 1/3 of his yards for the whole season in one game, as he finished with 685 and had a 200-yard game. Robby Anderson leads with 492 receiving yards, as there has been such a lack of consistency by all of the targets for NY this season. Jordan Jenkins leads the D with six sacks, and they will need him against the Texans.
Texans keep it rolling, crush Jets
Yeah, we’re riding with Houston this week. They are going to come in, and led by Deshaun Watson, get that 10th win of the year and move closer to clinching the division title.
This team is going places, and NYJ will not stop them.
