So far, so good for the Seattle Seahawks, even with their last loss against the Ravens a week ago. They have a great offense with a defense that has been shutting opponents down for the most part. They could not contain Lamar Jackson but should have no issues with Matt Schaub this week. The running game has been very good, led by Chris Carson, while Pete Carroll has been doing his thing to ensure more wins for his crew.
Atlanta, on the other hand, is looking like one of the worst teams in football. The next step would be admitting that this is not working and canning Dan Quinn. The former Seahawks defensive coordinator helped his team reach a Super Bowl, where the Atlanta playoff curse kicked in after they took a 28-3 lead on the Pats. They do not have any sort of run game, and though they just gave Julio Jones a five-year extension in the days leading up to the season, it may be time to move on from him too. Nobody in Atlanta should be content.
The visiting Seahawks are set as seven-point favorites in Sunday’s game, while the over/under is set at 53.
Seattle Looks To Get Back On Track
As good as the Seahawks were through six games, their last loss was not all that surprising. Baltimore’s offense is unlike the other 31 in the league, with the running ability of Jackson a wild-card factor that teams have struggled to contend with. Russell Wilson, though, has been on another level and had been interception-less prior to getting picked off a few times against those pesky Ravens last week. He is a guy you can never doubt and quite literally has the heart of a champion.
The Seattle defense has been letting them down a bit, allowing the same number of points that their offense is posting each week. Their last game marked the first time they were held under 30 points, and they gave up 28-plus for a third week in a row. It has to improve.
Nowhere To Go But Up
At 1-6, Atlanta’s season has not been good. The Falcons have struggled mightily, as they are in the midst of a five-game skid. They have allowed 34-plus points three games in a row, unable to stop anybody trying to score against them. The one win they have came against the Eagles in Week 2 when they allowed a season-low 20 points. They rank second-to-last in the league, as they surrender 31.9 points a game. They are No. 19 in scoring offense but still have a -11 point differential average.
The defense looks pretty similar to the one they had when they won the NFC, injuries not doing enough to be an excuse.
Seahawks Get The Win
After taking the loss against Baltimore, the Seahawks are in search of another win, and it will be coming their way. They are tough to stop.
