Spain and the Netherlands will be facing off on the second match day of the World Cup, June 13th. Their opening Group B match will be one of the most highly anticipated of the entire first round and will see both teams eager to walk away with three points.
There is no denying that both these sides are favorites to move on to the round of 16 which means their opening group match is that much more important. Robin van Persie, especially in the Dutch’s match against Spain, will need to be in top form and find himself on the scoring end of a majority of the Netherlands’ goals. Like Spain, the Netherland also have a solid midfield that is just brimming with both talent and depth. From the looks of it, this match is going to be decided by the team who more dominantly establishes themselves in the middle third of the pitch.
