Despite Kawhi resting for the past three games, Toronto keeps piling up victories. No matter who they throw out there, it seems that good things happen. Two-way player Chris Boucher gave them effective minutes vs. Sacramento last night.
Indiana continues to win a lot more than the public is willing to admit. There aren’t too many Pacer supporters outside of Indiana, giving them any credit for all their success. But they keep coming.

Raptors:
They’ve got the #6 scoring offense and #9 scoring defense, and no matter who they throw out there, they are tough to beat. You’d hardly know they didn’t have OG Anunoby or Jonas Valanciunas, and that Kawhi is about to miss his fourth game in a row tonight to rest. They have depth at every single position, and a number of guys who can bury the outside shot. We saw CJ Miles score 15 last night, and finally break through and knock the jumpers down. No one player has appeared in every single game, but Pascal Siakam leads with 48.
Six players have been scoring in double figures for Toronto, and Danny Green is not one of them. That tells you just how deep they are. Norman Powell has been playing well since his return, as he tries to earn regular minutes in the rotation. We can never judge the Raptors off their regular season performance when it comes to the playoffs, but could this year be different?
Pacers:
They are #21 in points scored but have the league’s BEST scoring defense, and they have a number of guys that can shut it down on that end. The continued ascendance of Bojan Bogdanovic has been apparent, as he’s now averaging close to 17 points per game, and hitting all his threes. Despite Tyreke Evans’ fit being very poor, the bench has played very well thanks to Domantas Sabonis and Cory Joseph bringing constant contributions. The inconsistent play of Myles Turner has not hurt the team too much, because of how good Sabonis has been. Oladipo’s numbers are down, but his leadership is as present as ever.
They have become an impressive team under Nate McMillan, but their goal this season should be at least to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. They ran into LeBron’s Cavs last year, and though they took it to seven games, Cleveland has never lost in the first round with him around. Indiana has the odds against them from the start. Now, it’s a new season, and if the playoffs started today, they’d play the Nets. That would be a terrific matchup for both sides, but one that may be hard for Indiana.
Pacers knock off Raptors for 32nd win
Riding with the Pacers! They are going to get to 32-15 on the season with tonight’s win, powered by a Domantas Sabonis double-double.
Toronto will actually miss Kawhi tonight.
