As we head into Week 15 of the National Football League season, the odds have been updated once again. With four weeks left in the regular season, the race to win the Most Valuable Player award has never been hotter. Let’s take a look at the most recent betting odds:
Dak Prescott +150
Prescott is the leading in touchdowns thrown this season. His connection with CeeDee Lamb has been fun to watch, and he has limited his turnovers. There were questions on whether he could step his game up against the best teams in the league, and he succeeded in Week 14. He has four more big, challenging games left to prove his worth. For now, he is the favorite, with Dallas leading the NFC East.
Brock Purdy +180
Purdy is third in passing yards, and tied with Josh Allen for second in passing touchdowns. The former Iowa State Cyclones signal caller just continues to defy all logic. The final pick in the draft is not supposed to dominate the league like this. Many will point to his weapons, and there is no doubt he has talented weapons. But, in the end, Purdy is +180 because he continues to get the ball to his best players, and they score.
Lamar Jackson +475
Jackson, known more for his ability to run the football, is doing just that. He leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards, with 644 on the season. He also has five touchdowns on the ground. His weapons are nowhere near as strong as the other top candidates, but he has his Ravens in the driver’s seat for the top seed in the AFC. It’s been a big season for Jackson, but for a guy that has not gotten to the Super Bowl, these are a huge final two months.
Jalen Hurts +650
The guy that is the key player in a play that 31 teams want banned from the National Football League, there is no doubt Jalen Hurts has his stamp on this league. Hurts continues to rush the football into the end zone, as he trails only Raheem Mostert in rushing yards. Hurts has been hampered a bit by his turnovers, but his play has the Eagles right back in the thick of things as a NFC contender.
Tyreek Hill +1600
One would argue that the loss of Hill, and then him coming back and being limited at best showed his value more than anything on Monday Night. The top receiver in the league leads in touchdowns, with 12, and also in yards with 1,542. The Dolphins need Hill back from his ankle injury quickly. After this game against the Jets, they have the Cowboys, Ravens and Bills remaining. The Dolphins cannot afford another December slump down the stretch.
Patrick Mahomes +1600
It does not appear Mahomes is going to take down another MVP award. But, his value is certainly high on the list in the National Football League. Mahomes has had his shares of struggles this season, but also been hurt by a lack of production from his receivers. The Chiefs still have time to turn things around, but heading into Week 15, they do not look like a true contender to win the Super Bowl.
Others in Consideration:
- Josh Allen +2000
- Tua Tagovailoa +2000
- Christian McCaffrey +4000
- CJ Stroud +8000
This should be fun to follow down the stretch. There are the top 10 betting odds when it comes to take down the award for 2023 Most Valuable Player in the National Football League. Best of luck with all your betting!
