Lakers Looking to Spoil Party
The Los Angeles Lakers are dealing with an injury of their own. Point guard Lonzo Ball has missed 13 straight games, and looks to return after the All Star break. The point guard is scoring just 10.2 points per game, but ripping down 7.1 rebounds and dishing out 7.1 assists per game as well. The Lakers adding point guard Isaiah Thomas at the trade deadline, and he scored 22 points in his Lakers opener.
The Lakers top scorer throughout hte season has been Brandon Ingram. The former Duke start is scoring 16 points per game. Defense has also been an issue for the Lakers, as they are 25th, allowing just shy of 110 points per game. The Lakers rank 9th in assists per game, and are the 2nd best rebounding team in the league with 46.4 per game.
Pelicans Win at Home
The Los Angeles Lakers are going to struggle to beat teams without their point guard, but the addition of Thomas has helped. When he comes back there could be some drama for Luke Walton and his Lakers. They are preparing for the future, but in this game they are going to be the underdog.
