While the College Football slate for Week 7 gets started Tuesday night with a trio of games, there are games Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week as well, but the big slate of games, with the top teams, will get started on Saturday.
Let’s take a look at some of the best games for the Week 7 slate in College Football.
Georgia Bulldogs at Vanderbilt Commodores
Not just the Georgia Bulldogs but the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. This team is starting to hit its stride as they improve with each game. The Bulldogs now get a chance to go on the road to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the country’s top offensive teams, as they score more than 40 points per game.
Defensively, the Bulldogs have not allowed more than 21 points in a single game this season. This should not be a close one, as the Commodores are reeling, with five straight losses.
Syracuse Orange at Florida State Seminoles
The Orange have been going through the gauntlet with their 2023 schedule. Now, they are at Tallahassee, taking on the Florida State Seminoles. The Seminoles still have their eyes on the prize, as they do not face another ranked opponent this season. As Duke comes to town next week, Florida State has back-to-back home games.
The Seminoles are scoring more than 42 points per game. Syracuse, coming off back-to-back losses to Clemson and North Carolina, are trying to figure things out after four straight wins. This does not seem to be the environment for figuring it out.
Ohio State Buckeyes at Purdue Boilermakers
Following their early scare against Maryland last week, the Buckeyes are looking to start quicker in this game. Purdue is a team that has a few wins on the season but overall have a tough time putting things together. The Buckeyes will not overlook Purdue here despite having a monster game against Penn State next.
Look for the Buckeyes to start playing like the Buckeyes we know. Despite being on the road, this should be a bloodbath in their favor.
Oregon Ducks at Washington Huskies
Likely the best game of the weekend. The Oregon Ducks are at the Washington Huskies. Two of the best offensive teams in the nation. Michael Penix Jr against Bo Nix.
This should be quite the attack on the offensive side. Neither team has shown a great defense, so we are in store for quite the shoot-out. The winner will have a leg up in the Pac-12 and be in good shape when discussing College Football Playoff implications.
USC Trojans at Notre Dame Fighting Irish
A long, storied rivalry in South Bend. The Trojans are coming off their scare at home against Arizona. The Fighting Irish are coming off a tough loss and are reeling a bit with their brutal schedule over the last month.
Caleb Williams and the Trojans want to stay unbeaten and come away with another big win. Sam Hartman will be a problem going against a suspect Trojans defense, but the better of the offenses sits with the road team here.
Miami Hurricanes at North Carolina Tar Heels
The Miami Hurricanes are coming off the worst loss of any team in College Football this year. The Hurricanes needed just to down the ball, and they had a win over Georgia Tech. They didn’t, and they eventually lost the game for their first of the season.
Now they get a Tar Heels team on the road that seems to be on a mission. Drake Maye and the offense have been terrific, and the defense continues improving. Look for the Tar Heels to start quickly and win big here.
UCLA Bruins at Oregon State Beavers
Another big Pac-12 game. The UCLA Bruins at the Oregon State Beavers is underrated as one of the season’s best games. The Bruins’ defense has been fantastic, but this story will be different. Oregon State wants to pick up another one and move back inside the Top 15 conversations as the season progresses.
Enjoy the week seven action. We are thrilled for these games and hope you are as well. Best of luck!
