Coming in as the #1 team from the Pacific Division and the Jets coming in as the #2 Wild Card team, this is a series that Vegas should be able to win. With this game being their first on their home ice, there’s really no reason why they don’t get the job done.

Still, Winnipeg has shown throughout the year that they can find ways to win games that some people don’t expect. This team has been one of the more interesting in hockey throughout the entire season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them get the job done. They finished with nearly 100 points and could sneak away with a series win if things do go their way.

Vegas Must Play Hard

When looking at what the Vegas Golden Knights have done this season, it’s easy to see why people do believe that this team is one of the best in the Western Conference and in all of hockey. They finished the regular season with a 51-22-9 record and accumulated 111 points. They did so behind guys like Jack Eichel and others.

The playoffs are a much different game than the regular season and that could cause some of their top players to struggle. However, Vegas has some young guys that have proven that they can play at this type of level and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them do exactly that. Jack Eichel is known to be one of the best in all of hockey as he finished with 66 points in 67 games this season.

If Vegas is going to want a chance of beating anybody in the postseason, they’re going to need to find a way to get him going.

Can Winnipeg Shock Vegas?

The Winnipeg Jets might be getting a bit disrespected in the series. Many believe that they don’t have a chance to win at all, but that’s simply not the case. Winnipeg had one of the best seasons in hockey this year and that resulted in them finding a way to get into the playoffs. They will need to find ways to slow down the Golden Knights, but this team is proving that they can do just that when they’re at their best.

They also have a few veteran players that have proven themselves in the playoffs throughout the past few years, mixed with a few young guys that are going to get some postseason experience.
